Time to tune in

August 11–15, 2026

Nonviolent Communication as a meditation and practice for everyday living

Step onto the path less traveled — a journey not just through time, but into the essence of your own being, with Chris Rajendram, Corrylaura Van Bladel and Marianne Göthlin, through the doorway of NVC.

We aim for peaceful days of self-reflection, meditation, sharing, and practicing NVC in “lightness and depth”. Our retreat 2024 was appreciated and we really enjoyed the atmosphere around us at Mundekulla venue. So we are excited to come back and invite you to be part of this retreat.

We welcome both you who are fairly new to NVC and you who are looking for in-depth training. As we are three trainers and also a strong support team, we can adapt to different needs and levels of learning. And we will all learn from each other. These days count if you are in the CNVC certification process.

What we will attend to and do

Chris will guide meditations in the mornings and also invite time of sharing each day. Surrender is an underlying theme. Learning to flow with life and not resist.

  • It’s not MY LIFE OR YOUR LIFE. We are just part of this life

  • Finding practices of surrender as part of these days

We would like to offer a variety of opportunities to practice the essence of NVC and its applications. We will invite you to some topics and also ask you to come with your requests and weave this together.

We will practice the basics of NVC, which means our ability for self-empathy, expressing ourselves and listening to others with empathy. Three fundamental skills for connection and dialogue to happen.

This can mean practicing

  • finding clarity and courage to be honest/authentic

  • sharing your needs with more ease and clarity

  • listening with empathy - space to let go of resistance

  • finding yourself back when overwhelmed - a daily self-care

  • acknowledging the meaning of requests and sharpen your skill in making them

  • transforming anger and critical thinking

  • handle your own reactivity when listening

  • develop your personal NVC vocabulary, your “street giraffe”

  • to influence from compassion

After lunch, there will be options for training in smaller groups, on different topics, and also for recreation, hanging out in the garden, going for a forest walk or swimming.

We will come together for community time, a time of sharing, before dinner.

We will eat all meals together, vegetarian and vegan, and with no alcoholic drinks. We can also have some evening activities depending on inner and outer weather.

So we encourage you to imagine being with us during these summer days, enriching yourself by combining self-care, inspiration and recreation in a warm and supportive community.

Chris Rajendram

Christlin Parimalanathan Rajendram is my full name. Born in 1943 in Batticaloa on the East Coast of Sri Lanka, as fourth of the 8 children, I joined the Jesuit Religious Order in 1960, was ordained a Priest in 1973. Met Marshall Rosenberg in 1996 and Nonviolent Communication gave me a new perspective on all that I was doing, especially my spiritual path. Learned to look at my life and the lives of others in a new light. I am enjoying my learning and sharing. When you don’t want to change, everything changes; when everything is falling apart they are all falling in place……there is nothing to throw away and nothing to discard…everything makes sense, whole.

Corrylaura Van Bladel

From an early age I have been intrigued and touched by the way people (not) communicate with themselves and others. Every day I notice how difficult many people find it to say what they want to say and not take things they hear personally. This is exactly what I want to support and inspire. So that people can live their authentic selves and can and dare to have exciting conversations, beyond the differences.

To be fair, in my life it was / is no different, and I am still learning every day. That is exactly what I stand for as a trainer: being human among people and learning together by sharing experience and wisdom. www.praatkracht.be

Marianne Göthlin

I treasure the practice NVC offers to sharpen my awareness and communication.  The subtle power of empathic presence where there is a space for everyone to be and where mutuality can grow is one of my inspirations. Sharing NVC with people of all ages are ways for me to connect with hope, purposeful contribution, and strength of community.  I enjoy sharing NVC internationally, have a background as a teacher and a life-long engagement in education, www.skolande.se  www.nvcineducation.org
