ESC VOLUNTEERING PROJECT

As our commitment to diversity and inclusiveness, Mundekulla is participating in a European Solitary Corps (ESC) program, inviting up to 10 ESC volunteers, every year from April through October, to contribute to a structured program aimed at offering the opportunity to carry out a wide variety of activities, in a structured way and as a manifestation of solidarity. This not-for-profit program is enabling young people to acquire useful experience, skills and competences for their personal, educational, social, cultural, civic and professional development, thereby improving their employability and active citizenship.

Our ESC deployment areas include our regenerative gardening program, food conversion and cooking, foresting, and facility management, as well as project management & administrative activities.

Target outcomes for the volunteers include:

  • improved skills and competences for personal, educational, social, civic, cultural, and professional development

  • more active participation in democratic life and in society in general,

  • enhanced employability and transition into the labour market,

  • increased sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, -increased self-empowerment and self-esteem,

  • improved foreign language competences,

  • enhanced intercultural awareness,

  • better awareness of the European project and the EU common values,
