Elin has a background in organic farming and food forestry. She possesses a profound passion for nature, the forest, and our connection with all living beings. At Mundekulla, Elin engages in landscape architecture, agroforestry/food forestry and vegetable cultivation.

Christine brings extensive experience in various hotel concepts, classical gastronomy, and event services. With a passion for uniting people, she values nature and is committed to unique projects that prioritize accessibility, resource conservation, and collaboration. At Mundekulla, she organizes and oversees in-house events.

Brittany Larsson

Guest Experience Leader

Bringing a wealth of hospitality experience from the USA, Brittany holds a Bachelor's Degree in GeoTourism and Sustainability. As the leader of hospitality team, she oversees room and property preparation, engages customers through various channels, manages booking systems, handles contract writing and ensures a seamless and eco-conscious stay at Mundekulla.

Frederick Nowak

Healthy Foods Leader

Frederick has gathered experience in various kitchens, ranging from 4-star hotels in Switzerland and Germany to a Michelin-starred restaurant and various large-scale kitchens. He loves to indulge in resource-conscious, fresh, colorful, and sustainable cooking. With his comprehensive expertise, he is shaping the next chapter in Mundekulla's vegetarian cuisine.

Victor Karlsson

Facility & Forest Manager

Victor comes from a background in the forestry industry, with an education in forestry and forest planting. He holds a great interest in sustainable forestry, and at Mundekulla, he is responsible for caring for the buildings, infrastructure and the forest.

Romain Perchat

Volunteering & Projects Coordinator

Romain initially arrived at Mundekulla as a volunteer after years of traveling and volunteering in sustainable farming projects. Following a seven-month immersion in permaculture, entrepreneurship, and personal development, he joined the core team as ESC project coordinator, while also assisting with gardening, maintenance, and event space setup.

Galina Studer

Board of Directors’ Chairperson

Galina brings over 30 years of experience serving as an executive for multinational companies, where she successfully developed and implemented operational practices to achieve change and transformation objectives. As representative of the shareholder’s family, Galina is responsible for the strategic development.

Steven came to Sweden three years ago with his girlfriend to explore a bit of Europe. They quickly fell in love with the country and decided to stay. When he later discovered Mundekulla, the decision was easy. Today, he’s our electrician, sound technician, builder, and all-round problem solver – and already speaks fluent Swedish.

Gardener

After education in livestock farming and forestry, Martine worked for many years as a nature and land management employee in a national park in the Netherlands. At Mundekulla she carries out mowing management and as a nature and animal lover she takes into account the preservation of rare plants/herbs and animals and their habitat.

Kristina has been part of our team since 2024 and is a true asset to Mundekulla. She works efficiently, and always with a friendly smile. HOW TO GET TO MUNDEKULLA

By train

Trains from all over Sweden arrive in Emmaboda every two hours. Visit www.sj.se for details. It’s worth booking your train ticket in advance. Tickets are more reasonable about three months before travel, with prices increasing as the date approaches. Taxis are available for the 10 km journey from the station in Emmaboda.

By taxi from Emmaboda

Contact Ben's Taxi at +46 (0) 480-66555.

Please make your booking at least 3 days in advance, preferably 1 week before. Cost: around SEK 350 per car. It’s a 10 minute ride from Emmaboda to Mundekulla.

By bus

Buses from larger towns in Sweden go to Växjö, Kalmar, and/or Karlskrona. From one of these cities, take the train to Emmaboda, then use Ben's Taxi (+46 (0) 480-66555) for 350 SEK per car. Remember to book at least 3 days in advance, and preferably 1 week before.

By Air

Flights arrive daily in Växjö, Kalmar, and Ronneby. Compare prices and book at www.flygresor.se. From these airports, take a 30-min train to Emmaboda, then book a taxi to Mundekulla. Alternatively, book a taxi directly from the airports (60 km away) via Ben's Taxi, +46 (0) 480-66555). Remember to book at least 3 days in advance, and preferably 1 week before.

International travelers can fly to Copenhagen, with direct trains from Kastrup to Emmaboda available. The journey takes 3 hours. Then book a taxi as above. Should you wish to fly into Stockholm or Gothenburg, train connections are available as well.

Directions to Mundekulla, by car

If using GPS or mobile app, search for “Mundekulla Retreat Center”.

From Stockholm/Vetlanda: Take the exit towards Tingsryd, road 120 in Emmaboda. Drive 5 km, then follow the signs for the 4 km approach to Mundekulla.

 

From Stockholm/Kalmar: Take road 25 towards Växjö from Kalmar. After 1.5 km past Nybro, turn towards Emmaboda, road 120. Drive straight towards Tingsryd. After 5 km, you'll see a sign for Mundekulla on the right. Drive about 4 km.

 

From Göteborg/Växjö: After passing Lessebo on road 25, take the exit towards Åkerby/Ljud. Drive for about 1.5 km, then follow the signs for the 5 km approach to Mundekulla.

 

From Malmö/Karlshamn: In Tingsryd, take the exit towards Emmaboda, road 120. Drive about 3.5 km, then follow the signs to Mundekulla. If you miss the first sign, you will see another one after 2 km.

 

From Karlskrona: In Vissefjärda, turn left towards Långasjö and drive through the community. Continue for about 1 km until you reach a five-way intersection. Then turn right towards Emmaboda on road 120. Drive 3 km until you see the sign for Mundekulla on the left. Alternatively, drive to Emmaboda, then 5 km towards Tingsryd, and follow the sign to the right for 4 km towards Mundekulla.

You’re welcome to join our carpooling group on Facebook where you can request or offer a ride or perhaps chare a taxi with someone to a specific event at Mundekulla.
