Wood-Fired Sauna

Relax in the heat of our traditional wooden sauna house. Feel your stress melting away. Let the crackling fire and the natural surroundings enhance your connection with nature and yourself, and don’t miss to then cool down in our sauna pond or heart-shaped swimming lake.

Hot tubs

Unwind in one of our rustic wood-fired hot tubs, set amidst the serene backdrop of trees and open sky. Heated by crackling firewood and surrounded by natural materials, the tubs offer a soothing soak that blends warmth and wilderness. This peaceful treatment is the perfect way to relax, recharge, and connect with nature.

For the group up to 5 guests: SEK 2000 per group per use (up to 4 hours)

Electric sauna

Immerse yourself in the heat of our modern sauna with handcrafted benches. Our electric sauna is adjacent to our hot tub deck, our Heart-shaped swimming lake and our Relaxum area. Our saunas and wood-fired hot tubs can be booked separately or as a package.

Forest Sauna Experience

Treat yourself to a rejuvenating Forest Sauna experience at the secluded Mundekulla Eneholm Sauna House. Enjoy calming hours in the wood-heated sauna, with panoramic views from the heat room, followed by a refreshing dip in your private swimming pond. This retreat offers a perfect balance of relaxation and revitalisation, leaving you feeling renewed and grounded in nature. Max 8 guests.

Wild-Picking Experience

Composting Workshop

Ever dug deep into a compost? Decomposing a compost is an amazing exploration tour into layers and generations of biodiversity. Learn the entire process from creating compost boxes to utilising for nurturing the soil. Experience the thrill of exploring the rich layers and diverse generations within a compost pile—a vivid tour of biodiversity right under your feet. From constructing compost boxes to applying the finished compost to enrich the soil, this workshop covers the full cycle of composting. You'll learn practical skills and insights to transform organic waste into valuable nutrients, fostering a healthier garden ecosystem. Duration 2 hours.

“Hands-in-the-Soil” Participate in Garden Work

Embrace the joy of working in the garden with our “Hands-in-the-Soil” program. Spend a half or full day connecting with nature, learning about sustainable practices, and nurturing the plants that thrive in Mundekulla. Feel free to taste as you go! Lunch with our staff is included. For those looking to delve deeper, we can arrange longer-term garden experiences that offer a fulfilling way to immerse yourself in the rhythms of the earth.

Guided Forest Tour with an Expert Forester

Join our seasoned forester with over 20 years of experience for a fascinating exploration of the Mundekulla forests. This in-depth tour will provide insights into the growth patterns of the forest, sustainable forest management and the ecological principles that ensure the health and longevity of this habitat. This educational tour will enrich your understanding of forest ecology, and the careful stewardship required to preserve these vital natural resources.

Bicycle Rental

Explore the beauty of Mundekulla and its surroundings on two wheels with our bicycle rentals. Pedal through forests and open fields, breathing in the fresh, clean air and feeling the freedom of the countryside. Each turn of the pedal offers new views and a deeper appreciation for the time you took off. Add picnic basket and combine your exploration with delicious lunch.

 

Price: Adults SEK 200 per day, kids SEK 100 per day.

Vegetarian Cooking Class

Join us for a hands-on cooking experience to embrace the garden-to-table philosophy. This class will be centred around the use of fresh greens and vegetables harvested directly from our garden, along with other high-quality ingredients. Learn to create delicious vegetarian dishes that are not only nourishing but also visually appealing. Our expert chefs will guide you through the techniques and principles of vegetarian cooking, emphasizing the integration of flavours and sustainable practices!

 

Price: SEK 2000 per group of 4 participants, every additional participant 450 SEK per person.

Picnic Basket

Enjoy a delightful picnic at the heart of Mundekulla’s nature. Our carefully composed picnic baskets, filled with fresh, local and home-made delicacies, allow you to enjoy a gourmet experience in the heart of nature. Whether by the pond on the sunlit meadow, in the forests, or in the “Mindfulness Garden” on the “Zen Viking Tower” (also great by rain!) or combined with the bike ride, your picnic will be a moment of bliss and connection with the outdoors.

 

Price: SEK 300 per person, minimum 2 persons.

Bonfire

Gather around a glowing bonfire under the starlit sky, sharing stories and laughter with fellow participants. The warmth of the flames and the sounds of crackling wood create an unforgettable evening, fostering connections and memories that will last long after the fire dies down.

 

Price: SEK 450. With service  SEK 1500.

Our firewood is sustainably sourced from Mundekulla forest, and we have barbeque areas that are free of charge to use. Please bring your own charcoal or buy wood for SEK 100.

Gather your friends for a lively game of volleyball on our spacious grass field, located beside the heart-shaped lake. Whether you're playing a friendly match or just having fun in the sun, the natural surroundings and open sky offer a great opportunity to connect, move, and enjoy the outdoors.

Wander along one of our trails, all starting from Information board next to Reception building. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the forest and gardens, each step brings you inner calm and tranquillity. Pause at some of the benches along the way to reflect, meditate, or simply absorb the beauty of your surroundings. 

 

Culture Path: This trail provides information about the historical remains and the natural surroundings of Mundekulla, produced by Länstyrelsen (the County Board of Kalmar).

 

Unity path: This path circles around the Peace Garden (Yin/Yang area). As you walk this path, you will encounter 12 benches, each featuring a peace prayer that can be both read and listened to. 

 

Peace walk: This trail is based on a scientific report by students at SLU (the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Alnarp). Their research has demonstrated that nature can help heal individuals from burnout, highlighting eight different aspects of nature.

 

Mindfulness walk: In the mindfulness garden 13 different native Swedish trees have been planted to promote diversity in the forest. Along this trail, you can learn about these various trees, their historical uses, and their medicinal effects while enjoying 13 Mindfulness Songs inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh.

 

Emigrant trail: This is a 100 km long hiking trail and bike trail in the footsteps of Vilhelm Moberg passing by the outskirts of Mundekulla (2 km away) close to our wilderness camp.
